God made you. God knows you. God loves you!
One of my frequent prayers for my kids is that the Lord would help them see themselves the way he sees them. God made them, God knows them, God loves them! He knows each one of us better than we even know ourselves.
One of the things I love about being a parent (and as an Aunt of adopted kids too) is how each child is like an unwrapped gift. Actually, more like one of those gifts where there is a gift in a gift in a gift – with each unveiling and revealing new elements of who they are! Or you can use the onion analogy! Ha. Anyway, you get the idea. There are layers and layers to each of us and God intimately knows every layer and loves us completely! Part of the adventure of being a parent is discovering, affirming and guiding the amazing person we had the privilege of bringing into the world.
Prayer: “Lord help me to enjoy the adventure of parenting and helping my kids discover and accept the amazing people you created them to be. I pray my kid(s) will know you and know your great love for them. Papa, please help my kids to see themselves the way you see them and fully accept themselves as loved and created by you. Please protect them Lord, and guide them as they discover how you uniquely made them. I trust you Lord; please help me trust you more!”
Scripture: “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus” Ephesians 2:10b NLT
We recommend Betweentime TV, kids Christian videos, the shows help kids grow in having a healthy identity and seeing themselves the way God sees them. Kids, especially 8 to 13 years old, are often wrestling with how they see themselves and how others see them. The Betweentime Friendship TV Series is designed to help students through their formative years. www.Betweentime.org
